I really like chess boxing. It’s a very interesting mix because it involves two very different skill sets. It’s also pretty funny because you have players just playing a game of chess and then going to beat each other up. A couple minutes of chess and then a round of boxing. The skillset it takes is so impressive.”

Speed-walking is definitely a favorite of mine because it looks really funny. It’s so weird how fast people can walk and how competitive it is when anyone can do it. The way they swing their hips is also really weird.

Frisbee golf is my favorite. I saw someone playing it at Thompson Park where I run, and I really respect the grind they put in being outside at eight in the morning. They were trying to throw two at once, and even though every time the frisbees hit each other in the air and fell, they kept trying and I admire that perseverance.

Chess is a really cool un- conventional sport. A lot of people don’t consider it a sport, but I think it is be- cause the mental pressure is almost as much as the physical pressure on your body from other sports like running. You have to predict a few moves ahead but also think on the fly. I don’t play but it’s still really fun to try.
